About the piece

A richly layered Kilim in burgundy, plum, rust, muted rose and ochre, woven in fine horizontal bands with small touches of turquoise at the edges. Hand-woven in Pakistan using wool on a flat-weave loom, its varied colour and subtle shifts in tone give the surface a depth that changes gently across the rug.
